CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Construction on a new $30-million, eight-storey apartment building on the Charlottetown waterfront is expected to begin this summer.
The developers behind a proposal for a 41-unit apartment building in Charlottetown's Sherwood neighbourhood are hoping to reach a compromise with nearby residents before city council votes on the project April 13.
A new federal grant will allow for the construction of housing units on Prince Edward Island, which will include affordable housing.
